Winter came along for a short visit on the weekend, bringing frosty mornings and clear, cold air. As I had hoped, I found the grass on the Schlei covered by a thin frosty layer on Saturday morning. The sky was blue and clear – but there were just enough clouds tot the southeast to give some color to the sunrise. The result is a typical calm and subtle winter sunrise (not that I know that much about sunrises, being a lazy late bird – trying my best to change that, though!).
The photo was taken from the closest Schlei access available, the former barracks area “Auf der Freiheit” here in Schleswig.
