On my way home I saw these tulips… I just had to get them as a first reminder that spring will come soon… maybe. Tried some lighting ideas with only one flash close to the flowers, for a dramatic light and a black background. (It’s just the normal living room mess, gone dark. The close the light is to the subject the bigger the difference of brightness between the subject and the background, quite simple rule to remember.)

This is one of the results I like most, plus some others that I might publish another time. Honestly I haven’t even watched them all, as I’m a bit late today.

Photo data: Pentax K20D, 50-200 mm lens at 200 mm, f16, 1/60 second and ISO 100. One flash to the right, with a self made grid like this one.
