The area where I was raised is traditional horses area. It is the home of the Holsteiner horse race, an excellent race for jumping.

In fact, the town bordering to my home town in the southeast is where it all started. The monastery of Uetersen is said to be the place where the breeding of this race begun. And when leaving the town to the north west you get to the town of Elmshorn, the central place of breeding today.

So, somewhere in the middle between those two places I took this photo of two Holsteiner horses on a field, curiously coming to see who was passing by.

Photo data: Pentax K100D, Pentax 50-200 mm lens at 200 mm, f8, 1/500 seconds and ISO 400.
