I took this photo of the Cathedral here in Schleswig on the longest day of this year, almost at midnight. We don’t have midnight sun in this area , but it stays quite bright around june 21st.

The cathedral “St. Peter” is one of the mot important churches in the state of Schleswig-Holstein, it is the church of the protestant bishop, who’s church district is more or less the same as the state. It is old – the first cathedral on this place is from the year 1134! The main gothic hall was built between 1300 and the 16th century. The huge tower (112 meters), however, was built in the 19th century and finished in 1894.
