Today when I walked back to the office after taking some photos at the train station in Husum I noticed this chain of light bulbs hanging over a street beside the church. It was turned off, and the light was too boring for a photo anyway, just grey sky.

So I waited until the sunset at late afternoon to come back to the place. Now the yellowish lights were on and the ambient light was beginning to get bluish after the sun had gone. The result was the nice blue-yellow color contrast. In the foggy background is the tower of the church (with what has to be the loudest bells I have heard so far…) behind frost covered branches.

Photo data: Pentax K20D, 18-55 mm lens at 35 mm, f5.6, 1/15 second and ISO 400.
