The Elbe, that big stream, has turned to a mass of ice. It is an impressive sight to watch the huge blocks of frozen water along the banks and the pieces floating to the open sea in the areas that are not completely frozen yet. The sound of the water moving below the meters of ice is remarkable, as well.

The clouds are the latest wave of snow that crossed Schleswig-Holstein on sunday afternoon and brought like 10 cm new snow here in Schleswig.

Photo data: Pentax K20D, 18-55 mm lens at 28 mm, 1/200 second, 3 different aperture levels (wrong camera settings. Usually for an HDR image the aperture should stay the same, the exposure time should vary. It turned out well anyway.)
