Since some days I’m planning to take some nocturnal photos in Schleswig. I’d like to include stars. Of course the idea came in the first cloudy night after several clear nights… well I’ll have to wait.

But the planning made me think about this photo I have since June. It was taken around 30 minutes before midnight on summer solstice. I never really was happy with the processing. So I started from zero again, and now I’m quite pleased with the result.

Photo data: Pentax K20D, DA 18-55 mm AL II lens at 18 mm, f16, 119 seconds and ISO 100.
