First of all I want to wish all of you a happy new year! May it come with a lot of photo opportunities and be filled with creativity.
After I had to stop the “Photo of the day” due to lack of time I was thinking of another project that works better with my schedule. Another resolution for this year is to go out more often, so it had to be a nature related topic.
In the end I came up with this 52 project – one photo every week. And which subject could be more obvious than the Schlei, the long inlet of the Baltic Sea that ends right in front of our door. It holds lots of different photo opportunities. With my photos will try to show the Schlei in all it’s differecnt aspects – landscape views, nature details, maybe people that have a relationship to the water – we’ll see what I’ll come up with.
I took this first photo today morning, in a part of Schleswig called Holm, the old fishermen’s area. Some fishers still sail on the Schlei every morning and sell their fresh fishes at the harbour closer to the city center.
