A quite heavy storm passed the north of Germany today. After the rain had passed we went to the Große Breite, the big opening of the Schlei between Brodersby in the north and Fleckeby in the south. The sky was full of beautiful clouds in different forms, and the blue of the sky was clear and gorgeous.

Here I could make good use of my new polarizer, a birthday gift from my wife, Van. The sun was exactly right of the camera. That 90 degree angle to the sun works best to get rid of reflections (that would have made the stones look washed out) and to create more contrast in the sky.
