This is how this year’s hottest day looked like.

We had spent a great day a the beach and returned to Schleswig on the south side of the Schlei. Just in time for the sunset we stopped at a parking place with great view across the Schlei to the northwest.

Something even more spectacular than the Schlei sunsets are the groups of deer that live around the village Winnemark. Yesterday we returned to this area, entering the Karlsburger Holz (a forest). We had not walked 5 minutes until we heard and then saw two male deer fighting, not even 100 meters away from us. Here’s one photo, taken with my (in this case too short) 50-200 mm lens.
